What is eyebrow threading and how is it done?

Threading is a traditional hair removal technique that uses a length of cotton thread, twisted and rolled across the skin, to catch small rows of hair and lift them out from the root. Because it works in fine lines, your therapist can follow the natural arch of your brow closely and tidy stray hairs without disturbing the ones you want to keep. At our Bridgwater salon we start by talking through the shape you like, whether that is a soft, natural finish or a crisper, more defined line. Nothing is applied to the skin beyond a light cleanse, which is why many clients who find wax too harsh prefer threading. Most people describe the feeling as a quick, tingling pinch that eases as the appointment goes on.

How much does threading cost at Bright Smiles Beauty?

Our threading menu is simple and priced by area. Eyebrow threading is £10 and takes around 15 minutes, which makes it an easy appointment to fit into a lunch break in the town centre. Lip threading and chin threading are each £10 with the same 15 minute booking, so you can tidy a single area without paying for more than you need. If you would like the whole face done in one visit, full face threading is £25 and we allow 30 minutes for it. Choosing the full face option works out better value than booking several separate areas. We're open Monday to Saturday, with late appointments until 8pm on Wednesday and Thursday.

How long does threading last and who is it suitable for?

Because hair is removed from the root, results usually last longer than tweezing or shaving, and many clients return every few weeks to keep their shape looking sharp. Regrowth timing varies from person to person, so your therapist will suggest a rebooking rhythm that suits your hair. Threading is often a good choice for people with sensitive skin, or anyone using skincare that makes waxing less suitable, as there is no product pulling on the surface of the skin. Some temporary redness is normal and tends to settle within a short time. For the first day it is sensible to avoid heavy makeup, heat and touching the area. If you have any skin conditions or concerns, mention them when you arrive and we will advise.
