What is a hydro facial and how does it work?
A hydro facial is a multi-step treatment that deeply cleanses, exfoliates and hydrates the skin in a single appointment. At our Bridgwater salon we use a Derma Group hydro facial machine, which uses a vortex style action to lift away impurities while serums are infused into the skin. Your therapist tailors the serums to your skin, whether it is dehydrated, congested, dull or showing signs of ageing. On our longer treatments, extractions and LED light therapy are added to finish, and some include a targeted mask. Most clients find the process comfortable and relaxing, and because it is non-invasive there is usually no downtime, so you can return to your day looking fresh.
Which hydro facial should I choose and how much does it cost?
The Custom Express Hydro Facial is £40 in a 40 minute appointment, ideal for a quick refresh or pre-event boost. The Custom Hydro Facial is £80 over 1 hour 10 minutes and includes extractions, tailored serums and LED light therapy. Three 1 hour 20 minute treatments are £90 each: the Anti Ageing Hydro Facial, with age-focused serums, LED, a firming massage and mask; the Anti Acne Hydro Facial, with clarifying serums and LED blue light; and the Wedding Glow Hydro Facial, finished with LED and a glow-enhancing mask. For ongoing results we offer a Custom Hydro Facial course of four for £240, and an Anti Acne Hydro Facial course of four for £270.
How long do hydro facial results last and who is it for?
Many clients see an immediate glow, with skin feeling smoother and more hydrated straight after treatment. That fresh finish usually lasts for days, while longer-term changes to texture, congestion or tone tend to build with a series of sessions, which is why we offer courses. Your therapist will suggest a sensible interval between visits based on your skin. Hydro facials suit a wide range of skin types, including dull, dehydrated, congested and mature skin. After treatment, wear SPF, keep skincare gentle for a day or so, and avoid heavy makeup, saunas and active acids straight away. If you have an active skin condition or are unsure, ask us before booking.

Our hydro facial machine comes from Derma Group, a UK aesthetics equipment supplier. It uses hydrodermabrasion, a water based technique that combines gentle exfoliation and suction with serum infusion, to deep cleanse and hydrate the skin. Bright Smiles Beauty at 28 Fore Street, Bridgwater, uses it for our hydro facials. Your therapist will check your skin first, and you can book online through Fresha.
